Lacombe County, Canada BAMSS Contracting Inc. Full time

BAMSS Contracting Inc. is a specialized bulk transportation company operating throughout Western Canada. BAMSS Contracting Inc. is currently seeking an HSE Coordinator to join our team. The HSE Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of our Health and Safety and Transportation Safety programs and to promote a safe working environment. This is a full-time position based at our Head Office in Lacombe County, AB.

**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for ensuring safe work practices, procedures, and policies are being adhered to
- Liaise with drivers on HSE concerns, complaints, etc.
- Liaise with client on HSE concerns, complaints, etc.
- Attend client meetings, audits, etc.
- Monitor and address driver performance on ELD platform
- Collect and review copies of CVSA’s, TVR’s, DOT Inspections, etc.
- Conduct and document new worker orientations as required
- Complete job hazard analysis and risk assessments as required
- Keep SDS inventory current and ensure all SDS are available for all clients and products hauled
- Co-chair joint health and safety committee (HSC)
- Investigate and review all near misses and incidents/accidents and ensure proper documentation is completed
- Assist in Emergency Response efforts as required
- Book and Coordinate OIS Clinic visits
- Oversee day-to-day of workers completing modified work
- Book D&A testing for workers
- Coordinate client/site orientations
- Perform regular job site and worker inspections
- Perform regular field visits and site checks and task observation
- Complete monthly office/shop/yard inspection for all BAMSS locations
- Complete daily/weekly/monthly health and safety statistic/data reporting as required
- Conduct monthly safety meetings and safety presentations as required
- Ensure timely completion and follow up of all corrective actions
- Keep client and site mobilization and onboarding requirements up to date
- Conduct internal COR audits
- Coordinate safety equipment and supplied restocks, recertifications, etc.
- Upholding and maintaining the WorkHub Safety Management System platform
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- Highschool degree and or equivalent required
- Post-secondary degree not required but considered an asset
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in OH&S related role
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation related role
- Comprehensive understanding of Canada Occupational Health and Safety Regulations
- Comprehensive understanding of National Safety Code Standards
- Experience with conducting COR and Transportation audits an asset
- Safety designation not required but considered an asset

**Requirements**:

- Travel by vehicle to remote locations/far distances as required (travel up to 40%)
- Monthly travel required to field sites around Alberta and Saskatchewan
- Monthly travel to BAMSS locations Fort Saskatchewan, AB and Kindersley, SK
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Google Workspace suite of products (Mail, Drive), Acrobat Adobe (PDF)
- Working knowledge of Trimble Oil and Gas, Workhub, and other transportation and safety related software
- Strong organizational and written skills as well as presentation skills
- Class 5 driver’s license with a zero demerit 5-year driver’s abstract
- Comply with pre-employment and site-access drug and alcohol testing requirements
