**Summary**

An exciting opportunity to join the marketing team of Canada’s largest casual dining restaurant chain. You will be able to put your creativity and customer-engagement skills into practice on a daily basis, with a focus on growing Boston Pizza’s social presence across Canada.

The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for creating content, growing our social follower count, and increasing engagement with guests through our corporate social media platforms. In this role, you will work closely with the marketing groups that support regional, sports, digital, and national campaign efforts, as well as developing unique content to engage our guests in relevant ways. Your work will also help provide guidance to social media efforts managed at the individual restaurant level, and to our guest services team.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for managing Boston Pizza’s corporate social media channels while developing and executing the brand’s social media content strategy.
- Develop an ongoing content calendar for corporate Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages
- Imagine and create engaging food and lifestyle posts (images, GIFs, video)
- Work closely with the marketing team to support product launches and promotions
- Identify and pursue opportunities to build followers, fans and ultimately new customers
- Engage directly with guests and prospects through corporate social properties
- Build training materials and host webinars for restaurant staff to improve local social efforts
- Provide administrative support for local Facebook page admins and editors
- Support digital marketing integration of social efforts
- Work with guest services and external monitoring agency to reply to guests on social media
- Responsible for influencer and blogger outreach (contracts, negotiations, PR kits, etc).
- Provide regular reports and analytics relating to Boston Pizza’s social media presence
- Contribute to Boston Pizza’s analysis of its competitive landscape & audience insights
- Actively monitor social media trends, best practices, and opportunities

**Desired Skills**
- An undergraduate degree or diploma in communications or marketing is preferred
- Creative aptitude for design, copywriting, video and GIF development
- Demonstrated experience at social content development, and community management
- A passion for social media, both professionally and personally
- In-depth knowledge of customer service best practices and execution
- Proficient knowledge of social media industry, platforms, trends, tracking and listening tools
- An endless curiosity as to what motivates and inspires consumers
- Excellent writing skills including grammar, punctuation and creativity
- Collaborative team player with strong communication skills
- Passionate about the brand and the desire to work in the food hospitality industry
- Bilingual (English / French) preferred
