**Why we have this role**:
We’re growing and looking to add a **Marketing Assistant** to our team in** Cambridge, Ontario** In this role, you will spend your time supporting the marketing team with planning, organizing, executing, and tracking marketing programs, and with the development of new marketing strategies. As the go-to person for the department, you will handle all day-to-day administration and requests and will provide support and execution on marketing and branding related activities that include managing marketing materials and collateral, helping with the organization of events, assisting in the implementation of marketing plans, analyzing data to monitor campaigns and evaluating results and providing project specific administrative support.

**Working with us**:
This is a permanent, full-time position based out of our office at 151 Savage Drive, Cambridge, Ontario. The typical hours for this position are Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with an hour unpaid lunch. Given the nature of the role, you may be required to work outside of these typical hours for things like tradeshows, customer learning and events.

**What you’ll do**:

- Handle all onboarding and offboarding marketing tasks.
- Manage the clothing program to ensure employees accurately receive their branded clothing.
- Keep all mailing list information organized and up to date.
- Assist with scheduling and creating general social media posts and enhancing our brand and presence across all GVF Group social platforms.
- Assist in organizing and coordinating marketing events and tradeshows as well as company events. This includes:

- Managing the booking and registration for tradeshows
- Creating invitations and packing giftbags for specific events
- Preparing literature for tradeshows
- Scheduling the necessary suppliers for food, entertainment, etc.
- Assisting with setup and teardown
- Ensure the marketing storage area is clean and organized, especially after events/tradeshows.
- Manage the inventory of promotional products and ordering of additional products.
- Build and maintain a strong relationship with marketing suppliers and partners.
- Help write content for marketing materials, such as brochures, newsletters, etc.
- Assist in producing, editing, assembling, printing, and filing qualifications, proposals and presentations.
- Assist with market research activities.
- Provide strong customer service and support for internal and external customers.
- Contribute ideas for improving marketing standards and processes.

**Experience we like**:

- 1-2 years of work experience as a Marketing Assistant
- Diploma or BSc in Marketing, Business or relevant field is an asset
- Good understanding of office management and marketing principles
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach
- Good knowledge of market research techniques and databases
- Strong verbal and written communication and people skills Valid G Driver’s License is important to be able to travel to tradeshows and events
