**Position**: Plant Manager

CES Transformer is a growing transformer manufacturer located in Markham, Ontario. Operating for nearly 40 years, CES is focused on the future and growth of the company. We are looking for a full-time team member for the role of **Plant Manager** to add to our motivated, entrepreneurial, and energetic team.

**Scope of Position**:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to oversee our electrical transformer manufacturing facility. The Plant Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the plant, meeting production targets, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring workplace safety. This role will also be responsible for managing the plant's budget, implementing cost-saving measures, and coordinating with various departments to optimize production processes. Additionally, the Plant Manager will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and overall performance.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee all aspects of the electrical transformer manufacturing facility, including production, quality control, maintenance, and logistics.
- Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demands and production targets.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Manage plant budgets and expenses, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and supply chain departments to optimize production processes and minimize downtime.
- Lead and motivate plant staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations as needed.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant operations and productivity.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic plans and long-term goals for the plant.

**Qualifications**:
**Must-Haves**:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, business administration, or related field.
- Proven experience (minimum 10 years) in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in electrical transformer manufacturing.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical transformer manufacturing processes, equipment, and industry standards.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in budget management, cost analysis, and financial reporting.
- Experience implementing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and ISO standards.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, with a focus on results and continuous improvement.

**Nice-to-Haves**:

- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP).
- Experience with Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with environmental and sustainability initiatives in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to electrical transformer manufacturing.
- Proficiency in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software - NetSuite.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.

**Salary**: $90,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
