**Medical Lab Assistant **opportunity is available now at the Primary Care Centre in Lytton. Days of work are rotating and shifts include day and evening.

**What will you work on**:
MLA’s perform a variety of duties such as taking blood and specimen samples from patients, preparing blood and other specimens for analysis, performing routine lab tests, distributing specimens to departments and outside Labs, operating related equipment, entering data into the LIS and performing related clerical duties.

**About this location**:
The village of Lytton is located at the junction of the Thompson and Fraser Rivers in southern British Columbia and is one of the longest continuously inhabited areas in North America. Lytton is currently rebuilding after the June 30, 2021, Lytton Creek Fire which destroyed over 90 percent of the village.

As an
**MLA **you will be working out of the Primary Care Centre with a team of Physicians and will be completing Lab Collections primarily.
- Grade 12
- Successful completion of a recognized Laboratory Assistant training program
- One year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Valid BC Driver’s License
- Ability to type 25 WPM *please upload a copy of an invigilated typing test dated within the last 48mths. Please note we do not accept self-administered online tests*
