Reporting to the Administrator of Payroll Services, the Supervisor of Payroll Services will be the lead in all payroll initiatives and processes and will supervise payroll staff to ensure the accurate and timely handling of day to day payroll services for the Board. They will also be responsible for managing all payroll related pension deliverables, as well as related reporting and inquiries.

**WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT**:
Support the fulfillment of all payroll related pension administration requirements

Prepare, analyze, input, and verify payroll and pension submissions

Perform formal reconciliations on an annual basis relating to employee pension reports

Process, enter, and report financial information for new employees, leaves, retirements, terminations, and disabilities to pension plan agencies

Act as liaison between HR and Payroll on any payroll related pension issues

Supervise Payroll Specialists and assist with department peak workload periods

Participate in special projects and educational opportunities to facilitate continuous improvement and learning

Work in collaboration with the Administrator of Payroll Services to ensure adherence to government and Ministry regulations

**WHAT YOU BRING**:
Four-year (4) University degree in Accounting and/or Finance

Five years’ experience in the payroll tasks related to the administration of OMERS and TPP pension plans.

Designation from the Canadian Payroll Institute, Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP), or Payroll Leadership Professional (PLP).

Excellent organization skills and ability to work in a busy environment under many strict deadlines.

Ability to check and/or verify the work of others.

Ability to communicate effectively and work under minimum supervision.

Extensive experience in database administration, Crystal reporting, Microsoft, Excel, and Word

This is a full-time, permanent position.

**HOURS**: Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 a.m.
