Succeeding in business is about more than selling great products. If you want to make a real impact, you have to provide something special to the community, and make accountability and integrity your number one priority.
We're **Great West Equipment**, and we do just that. We're a privately owned heavy equipment machine business consisting of eleven branches that operate throughout every region of British Columbia and the Yukon. We are the Volvo distributor for British Columbia and the Yukon, and our product line also includes, Metso crushing and screening equipment, Timberpro feller bunchers, Sennebogen material handlers, and Madill forestry products. The driving force behind our organization is the sincere commitment to our people, their focus on exceeding customers' expectations and the values that we live by every day:
**_ BALANCE INTEGRITY GROWTH_**_ COMMITMENT ACCOUNTABILITY RESPECT_**
Now we're looking to add a new member to our growing team: someone who is organized, enjoys a fast-paced environment, and thrives on continuous learning.
**You'll love working here.**
An **Equipment Sales Rep** (**Territory Manage)r** position entails providing information about the products and services of the company to customers to increase sales and to develop or maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers.
The Territory Manager works closely with the Branch Manager to develop sales programs and strategies to attain annual budget targets.
**What's in it for you **
We're a growing business in an exciting industry, and we're a family. This is a full-time, permanent position. We offer a competitive compensation package, which includes full health and dental, plus a company sponsored RRSP plan. We encourage our Territory Managers to treat their day to day as if they were operating their own business. Whether that is scheduling their time, establishing their market opportunities, supporting existing customers, or identifying and building relationships with new customers. At Great West Equipment, our biggest strength is our people, and we give our people the resources and the freedom to grow their business. You're going to have an amazing feeling of fulfilment when your efforts drive us to become each customer's first choice for equipment, parts, and service.
**Success looks like**
- **A “Service First” Mentality**. It's our company slogan and you are driven to support customers with exceptional solutions. You'll recognize that our customers' livelihoods depend on the service they receive from our team.
- ** Being a Relationship Builder**. You're going to get to know your customers, their equipment, and their business. You'll build rapport and trust and you'll be able to provide information and solutions to keep your customers up and running. You don't take “no” personally, but rather use it as an opportunity to maintain the relationship until “yes” is the answer.
- ** Your Entrepreneurial Spirit.** You will develop a strong understanding of our equipment lineup and become familiar with your customer's needs, managing their expectations while holding true to our values. With this knowledge and experience you will develop skills for providing customer solutions. You'll be successful with leveraging customer insights to identify business opportunities and strategies, and you are not afraid to prospect with cold call for new accounts on a regular basis.
- ** Ambassadorship.** You're going to represent our company, leading by example and personifying our corporate values. You will leave customers and suppliers with a positive impression and the desire to do business with us again. You are a self-starter and you are available to your customer when they need you.
- ** Vigilance.** Report customer satisfaction, trends and other useful information to parts and service supervisors. Develop rapport with customers and be the eyes and ears of the branch; take opportunities to make a difference.
- ** Tech savvy.** You will be comfortable with learning new software and you'll also have the ability to communicate with technicians and customers regarding equipment.
- ** Diligence.** We have adopted best practices when developing our systems and procedures and you'll become a champion for consistently staying in the lines. This is a detail-oriented position and you have already developed personal systems for organizing your work, ensuring your follow-up, and you are a stickler for accuracy.
