Alpha College is a registered education provider through Alpha College of Business and Technology with the Ministry Colleges and Universities, Private Career Colleges Branch. Through this branch, Alpha College offers quality training to domestic and international students in their desired discipline. Alpha College has also formed a partnership with St. Lawrence College. Following the St. Lawrence curriculum, each semester is designed to meet the challenges unique to international students and exceed academic expectations through a combination of theory and hands-on experience.
**Location**:
This role will work out of both the main campus at Kennedy and Steeles area and the secondary campus in Mississauga. Reliable transportation with the ability to commute between the two locations is required.
**The Role**:
Reporting to the CEO, the Human Resources Manager will support the smooth operations of all HR administration, policies, and practices. The role will support employee relations, payroll and benefits, recruitment and other HR areas.
**Highlight of Duties**:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Facilitate and update the comprehensive new employee orientation and engage new employees in the onboarding process.
- Facilitate the resolution of employee relation issues by investigating, resolving and tracking complaints, evaluating and recommending possible courses of action, and providing advice, guidance and direction for quick resolution;
- Answer questions from employees on company policies and procedures;
- Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource legislation changes.
- Maintain HR personnel files;
- Support the in-house recruiter with the recruitment process through job postings, contract offers and HR file management;
- Facilitate assignment, processing and administration of faculty term contracts on a semester basis;
- Assist with HR documentation updates as required;
- Support employee inquiries regarding policies, payroll and benefits;
- Additional duties as assigned.
**Experience and Educational Requirements**:
- 5+ years of HR generalist/management work required, with particular support in full-cycle recruitment
- Reliable access to transportation to commute between the Toronto campus and the Mississauga campus
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with a specialization in HR or equivalent
- CHRP or CHRL considered an asset
- Intermediate in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Power Point)

- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Highly effective organizational skills, flexibility, and adaptability
- Strong cross-cultural communication, team-work and interpersonal skills
- High degree of time management skills and able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines
