**POSITION OVERVIEW**

**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**

General activities and functions include, but are not limited to:
**Marketing and Brand Management**
- Strategize and proactively recommend new opportunities and improvements of existing marketing and communications projects across various channels to optimize increased efficiency
- Set digital marketing strategies using all necessary tools (website, newsletter, social media, SEO/SEM, podcast)
- Maintain on-going understanding of business, campaign, and project objectives to infuse innovation, efficiency, and effectiveness of creative and channel content planning
- Foster a highly collaborative marketing and communications environment
- Conduct research on market trends and how to use them to create brand awareness
- Coordinate end-to-end processes of branding and promotional materials
- Establish good relationships with clients and other professionals
- Manage social media accounts.
- Ensure all products, services, and other offerings conform to brand identity and conduct ongoing brand management

**Communications**
- Lead, organize, and disseminate marketing and communication information through existing or new sharing-platform to increase ease of use and value
- Create, and maintain internal workflows, digital forms, dashboards, and develop related training/training materials
- Create engaging content for various internal and external communication channels including media releases, communication plans, presentation material, and web and social media content
- Build constructive relationships across the organization as well as partners to deliver successful programs and events
- Identify marketing partnerships and collaborations
- Prepare annual reports, statistics, and analysis
- Work towards acquiring digital and marketing grants
- Support and oversee all activities necessary for event planning and coordinating
- Produce marketing collateral in accordance with brand messaging
- Develop, manage, and produce materials to create a cohesive image and message for print and all offline communication vehicles.

**Outreach and Community Partnerships**
- Work closely, network, and collaborate with other agencies, corporations, activists and businesses to build ongoing partnerships
- Deliver a great experience to partners when they are working with the agency, as a representative of DBNC’s brand
- Forecast, measure, and report results of various projects with partners
- Ensure timely and effective requisition/outreach of feedback from the community
- Encourage community and staff involvement in the use of the services
- Expand program delivery through the use of volunteers, outreach and collaboration

**SKILLS AND QUALITIFICATIONS**
- University Degree or related education, with a minimum three (3) years of social media, communications, or marketing experience
- A passion for gender, racial, economic, and social justice, along with a commitment to DBNC’s mission, vision, and values
- Solid knowledge of web analytics tools like Google Analytics and ands-on experience with online marketing tools and practices
- Familiarity with web design and HTML
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and project management skills
- Knowledge of graphic designing tools (Adobe, Canva, etc)and audio/video editing knowledge (Audacity, etc)
- Firm grasp of emerging digital tools
- Outstanding customer service orientation, with the ability to diffuse tense situations
- Solid leadership ability managing, coaching and developing direct reports
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office products

- Able to influence, collaborate and negotiate cross functionally, as well as with external stakeholders to achieve results.
- Strong decision-making skills and effective at problem solving and negotiating resolutions
- Excellent time and project management, organized, possessing a solid ability to plan and follow up
- Able to multi-task, manage and meet deadlines and adapt easily to change

**WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
- General office environment - limited privacy and background noise of computer technology and office equipment
- Standing, walking, bending, moderate lifting, prolonged sitting
- Job hazards may include musculoskeletal disorders (repetitive strain), neck, shoulder, back fatigue, eye strain
- Special equipment includes computers, printers, photocopier, shredder, iPhone technology or other portable communication device, telephone

**Salary**: $25.00-$29.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday
