**Position: Branch Manager-Calgary Region**

**Reports To: President and CEO**

**Position summary**

**What you’ll do**
- Direct all operational aspects including sales, design, production logistics, customer service and administration.
- Execution and review of projects; survey details of project before submitting work to design and inspect work prior to releasing to production.
- Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities.
- Develop forecasts, financial objectives, and business plans. Meet goals and metrics. Ensure Accounts Receivable are within ZyTech expectations each month.
- Maintain and manage the Branch Budget and allocate funds appropriately.
- Collaborate and actively participate as a member of the Senior Management Team.
- Bring out the best in the branch’s personnel by providing training, coaching, development, and motivation.
- Identify areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities for the overall business.
- Share knowledge with other branches and corporate office on competitive intelligence, and potential new business opportunities.
- Address customer and employee satisfaction issues promptly.
- Adhere to high ethical standards, company vision, mission, and core values. Ensure and comply with all regulations/applicable laws.
- Network to improve the presence and reputation of the branch and company.
- Actively participate in the wood and/or construction industry associations as a representative of ZyTech and industry expert.
- Stay abreast of competitive markets and provide reports on market movement to Senior Leadership.
- Champion opportunities to diversify the customer base to increase margins, EBITDA and sales for the branch.
- Facilitate the day-to-day oversight of the Production Schedule to ensure customer commitments and timelines are accurately fulfilled.
- Manage our participation in new bid and tender opportunities.
- Organize timely and appropriate follow-up with customers and internal peers assisting on the project work, to ensure you have a real-time status on all areas of your customer orders. Ensure timely follow-up to customers as required.
- Update status and close outstanding job quotes, proposals, and work orders in a timely way.
- Champion relationships and partnerships with members of the sales team and operations
- Perform residential market research and analysis.
- Actively seek and pursue new customers.

**What you need**
- Excellent knowledge of residential wood frame construction, including building codes is required.
- Demonstrated work experience as a Branch Manager or similar role leading a large multi
- disciplinary team would be a definite asset.
- Strong leadership and people skills to lead a diverse team of various backgrounds.
- Superior written and oral communication skills.
- Passion to build a strong sales culture: to lead, coach, and develop the Account Managers, Sales Coordinators, and Sales Manager to reach full potential and progressive sales targets.
- Confidence to visit job sites to meet with general contractors, farmers, and builders to address site issues, and determine both timely and appropriate resolution.
- Strong blueprint reading skills with solid experience in Engineered wood products and wood construction in particular complex floor, roof layouts and wall panels.
- Strong financial acumen and accounting best practices experience would be a definite asset.
- Capacity, passion, and desire to service our clients while taking the opportunity to upsell and cross sell the various product lines.
- Full working knowledge of Outlook, MS 365, and ability to quickly learn ZyTech specific software.
- Aptitude to read and interpret MiTek design drawings and ZyTech placement plans.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to the Branch Design Manager and the internal team of designers and estimators.
- A positive attitude and desire to take on other duties as required.
- Confident, independent, energetic, and self-motivated.
- Well organized with a strong ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

This position is based in **Balzac, Alberta.**

Employment status: Full-time permanent

Timing: As soon as possible
