**Position: Human Resource Generalist**
**Reports To: Human Resource Manager**
**Position summary**
The Human Resources Generalist will provide superior customer service through proactive approaches to recruitment, and attraction of top talent to ZyTech building systems.
Through daily action, proactive and positive reinforcement, the Human Resources Generalist will provide a safe and healthy environment, promoting a “can-do” company culture to both potential new hires and current employees across the company. This individual will be focused on continually demonstrating the value of the HR function and will work to build strong relationships with the hiring managers across the company demonstrating the value of strong recruitment practices to the company’s overall vision for success.
**What you’ll do**
- Create offer letters and employment agreements.
- Design updated recruitment reports/metrics for the HR Manager, CEO and leadership team on a weekly basis providing a real-time synopsis on the current recruitment activity for the organization.
- Facilitate new hire onboarding sessions in collaboration with the Corporate Health & Safety Manager and the various branch leadership teams across the organization.
- Coordinate the pre-employment testing program of production and safety sensitive roles with the third-party vendor.
- Maintain the organization charts of the organization to ensure accuracy.
- Upload various employee documents into the company’s internal systems to maintain employee records and overall HR Governance.
- Collaborate with HR Manager on HR projects and key initiatives as requested by the CEO and Managers
- Build positive and professional relationships with internal and external clients.
**What you need**
- Certificate, diploma or degree in Business or Human Resources is preferred.
- A minimum of two years demonstrated experience working in an HR role within an HR department is required.
- Working knowledge of provincial regulations affecting human resources and employment standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent analytical, time management and organizational skills.
- Expert knowledge in creating and managing processes and procedures in onboarding, recruitment and attraction of top talent would be a definite asset.
- Well versed and demonstrated experience in the full employee life cycle at an organization would be a definite asset.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with Visio and Adobe Pro would be an asset.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English are required for this position.
