**GM Blue**Plan** Engineering **is currently recruiting for an Environmental Projects Intern position for the Summer 2024 period. The start date for this position is anticipated in May 13, 2024 and end date is August 30, 2024.

**Essential Responsibilities and Duties**:
The intern will work with project managers, engineers, and designers primarily within the civil design group to support the design and construction of linear (watermain, sanitary sewer, forcemains) and vertical (pumping stations and treatment plant) infrastructure. The work may involve occasional site visits.

**Responsibilities**:
The intern position will involve various tasks which may include, but not limited to, the following:

- Complete equipment selection and cost estimation for municipal infrastructure projects.
- Analyze data and prepare summary charts to support analysis in collaboration with the design team.
- Prepare technical memoranda and design reports in collaboration with design engineers.
- Support project management activities including preparation of meeting minutes, budget tracking forms, updating tracking logs, and updating project schedules.
- Support contract administration and field inspection staff by documenting contractor submittals, coordinating reviews, and preparing inspection reports.

**Q**ualifications**:

- Minimum 1 year of working experience in the civil engineering industry;
- Possess strong organizational, communication (both oral and written), and problem-solving skills; have an approachable enthusiastic interpersonal style;
- Possess a valid driver's licence and a personal vehicle;
- Strong communications skills;
