Our Cooks will play a key role in creating exceptional culinary offerings for our guests at Maple Lounge & Grill. You will be an important team member who is responsible for preparing, cooking, and plating dishes for our guests to help create an unparalleled experience. We need someone who can help prepare meals as per our standard recipes. We are seeking an individual who has experience in the food service industry and is committed to creating repeat business.
**Responsibilities**:
Ÿ Ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently, safely and in alignment with AHS regulations.
Ÿ Follow all processes and systems
Ÿ Food preparation following recipes and standards (portion, plating, etc.)
Ÿ Additional duties as assigned
**Requirements**:
Ÿ Responsible for setting up and organizing workstations, performing meal planning, and preparation of all daily meals and snacks in accordance with health & safety standards.
Ÿ As part of meal planning, responsible for preparing oven and grills and preparing ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables and seasoning different kind of meats.
Ÿ Preparing multi-ingredient recipes from raw ingredients using various cooking techniques.
Ÿ Ensures the kitchen is kept in clean and good order and that all safety requirements and standards are continuously met.
Ÿ Ensuring kitchen is up to code and continuously checks inventory of shelves and takes notes of items to be ordered that week.
Ÿ A passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes to guests every single time.

Ÿ Ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ÿ Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.
Ÿ Flexible in a new environment and eager to learn.
Ÿ Strong team player who isn’t afraid to show appreciation and give support to fellow staff members.
Ÿ Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
Ÿ Ability to lift items weighing up to 50lbs
Ÿ Dependable and available to work a variety of shifts (days, evenings, weekends)
**Qualifications**:
Ÿ Atleast 2 years of experience in the food or customer service industry will be considered an asset.
Ÿ Post-Secondary education in Culinary arts or equal qualification will be an asset.
Ÿ First Aid, Workplace Health and Safety Training would be an asset.
Ÿ Experience with preparing food and beverages for specialized diets.
Ÿ Experience with inventory management.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $16.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
