Accountabilities_**:

- Assist the Manager with oversight of several department responsibilities, key areas being oversight of the Derivatives team in completing and monitoring daily activities.
- Ensure that key controls are being followed and understood and assist with the identification and implementation of process and system improvements to support ongoing business growth.
- Performance Management for reporting Administrators will include setting and monitoring department goals and will include midyear and year-end performance discussions and reporting.
- Document procedures and assist with training Administrators on new or existing functions
- Understand all other department functions and responsibilities under the Portfolio Administration team to assist in providing coverage in absences.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day
- to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
- Builds a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment through active coaching and guidance
- Ad-hoc duties as assigned.

**Education and Experience**
- University degree - BA, BCOMM
- 3-5 years of relevant Securities Industry experience
- Experience with reconciliations a definite asset
- Experience with Equity, Fixed Income and FX trade settlements required
- CSC certification - definite asset
- Proficient in MS Office Word and MS Office Excel
- Knowledge of Charles River and Simcorp Dimensions an asset.
- Excellent knowledge of portfolio management, portfolio accounting, brokerage systems and an in-depth understanding of the Investment Management Industry.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills is a must
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced multi-faceted environment
- Good interpersonal skills, team oriented and strong customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent tasks
