**JOB OVERVIEW**

Reporting to the Director, Finance, the Finance & Payroll Coordinator will be working as part of both the payroll team and accounts payable team at our Montreal office.

Responsibilities in payroll include supporting the processing of bi-weekly payroll for both salaried and hourly employees across Canada for approximately 600 employees.

Responsibilities in accounts payable include supporting vendor management and corporate credit card processes.

**WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING**:

- Processes all new hires, transfers and terminations in ADP WorkForce Now (WFN) system on a timely basis, including: Setup of new hires, updating employee data that impacts finance or payroll, calculating any payroll adjustments to complete the bi-weekly payroll process, ensuring Time and Attendance (T&A) module in WFN is setup for new hires and providing support and training to employees as necessary;
- Ensuring accuracy of T&A module prior to payroll bi-weekly processing, including correcting timecards as requested by employees and People leaders and ensuring appropriate approvals received for any time off balance corrections;
- Validation of banking changes as requested by employees;
- Knowledge of provincial employment regulations especially for Quebec and basic payroll standards (all provinces) and help support compliance of federal and provincial legislations;
- Support the processing of payments of payroll related vendors such as benefit provider (SunLife) and provincial workers compensation premiums;
- Working closely with the HR team and Payroll Specialist to ensure payroll related tasks or issues are resolved in a timely manner;
- Supporting the Payroll Specialist to complete payroll year-end tasks on a timely fashion;
- Supporting vendor management such as validation of banking information from both new vendors and banking changes for existing vendors and updating banking information in accounting ERP (NetSuite);
- Supporting corporate credit card processes with US Bank and other tasks as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Undergraduate degree, post-secondary diploma or technical/professional training and/or certification in accounting or business.
- Minimum one year experience in payment processing, cash handling, data entry and accounting.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Basic knowledge of Excel and accounting systems.
- Enthusiastic, positive, solutions-focused with a ‘can do’ attitude, and ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize and multitask to meet time sensitive deadlines.
- Possess a basic understanding of accounting principles.
