**A Snapshot of Your Day**

You will provide support for the maintenance and continuous improvement of the environmental health and safety management system, health and safety functions, and you will have a hands-on approach to health and safety.

**How You’ll Make an Impact**
- Assist in the improvement and maintenance of management system procedures in line with applicable standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001) and legislative requirements.
- Assist with completing Environmental Reporting, accounts, waste manifests and submission of Ministry of Environment Reports (e.g., RPRA, NPRI, 3R).
- Assist and manage EHS documentation such as policies, procedures, work instructions, document revision and archiving.
- Assist with Contractor Safety Management and participating in EHS projects that requires process change management requirements and pre-start review (PSR) documentation.
- Manage EHS training process such as planning, record keeping and support the development of effective EHS training programs.
- Assist with ergonomic assessments, environmental aspects and impacts and maintain risk assessments.
- Involvement in JHSC meetings, Ministry of Labour Interactions and inspections, ISO audits, identification of hazards and corrections, and other preventative approaches.
- Participate in root cause analysis, follow up on first aid cases, and tracking corrective actions.
- Assist with Siemens Energy’s Zero Harm Program initiative requirements.

**What You Bring**
- Must be available for an 8 month co-op position
- Enrolled in a University / College program related to Occupational Health & Safety
- An aptitude for problem solving; strong writing and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and other digital solutions
- Ability to work with variety of employee types (production staff, office support, management)
- A strong commitment to excellence and to personal and professional growth
- Must be a resourceful, responsible, tenacious, independent, and confident team player
- The ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
