**ESG & Sustainability Advisor**
**Division: Atco Electric**
**Location: Edmonton, AB**

**Position Summary**:
The Advisor will be responsible for identifying, researching, developing, and driving improvement initiatives, preparing briefing materials for senior leadership, developing strategic recommendations, and supporting data collection, verification, coordination, and reporting for performance management. The Advisor will work collaboratively with the regulated and non-regulated businesses within ATCO Electric to move ESG & Sustainability awareness and initiatives forward. This position may also require consultation with regulators related to ESG and Sustainability reporting and initiatives and visits to ATCO field and office locations as necessary.

**What you get to do**:

- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to track and utilize data metrics supporting emissions quantification, verification, and reporting.
- Coordinate with the Sustainability Data Advisor to complete annual reporting requirements and comply with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Compile content for the ATCO Electric's submission for the annual Corporate Sustainability Report, quarterly KPIs for senior leadership, and other reporting requests.
- Develop and manage a central repository for sustainability content, research, policies, action plans, and relevant tools.
- Contribute to the development of a roadmap that supports ATCO ESG & Sustainability Targets.
- Lead working groups to develop policies and action plans contributing to the sustainability strategy.
- Facilitate internal communication to drive sustainability objectives and ensure alignment with the overall sustainability plan.
- Evaluate projects impacting ESG & Sustainability and provide expertise to support the business.
- Develop and maintain a network of sustainability leaders at peer companies and represent ATCO in external associations and working groups.
- Keep leadership updated on trends, changes in regulations, government policies, and programs, and provide compliance solutions and opportunities.
- Identify, develop, and implement opportunities to engage employees and external stakeholders in sustainability efforts.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Environment, Environmental Sciences, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
- Currently hold or be eligible to obtain an associated professional designation within one year.
- Experience in ESG, sustainability, or environmental reporting is preferred.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation at Municipal, Provincial, and Federal levels.
- Valid Class 5 Operator’s License issued by the Alberta Government.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to identify and communicate issues and risks collaboratively.
- Excellent decision-making, data management, time management, organizational, and planning skills.
- Project management training is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, SharePoint, Maximo, Power BI, and ESG software.
- Willingness to travel as required.
