**Manager, Operational Technology Telecom Systems**

Number of positions: 1 Job Location: Fraser Vly Office

Hours of work: Full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Flexible Work Role: Resident

Annual salary: $ 127,900.00 - 161,800.00

**What you'll do**
- If planning, implementing, and maintaining operational technology and leading teams motivates/drives you we have a
- fantastic real-time position with great challenges and great rewards- This role oversees the daily operations of the Operational Technology (OT) department ensuring that systems,

infrastructure, and networks are secure and available 24/7 in OT domains with support extended to other areas within
- Transmission & Distribution System Operations (TDSO). The OT Department has three teams reporting as follows;
- 1. A Telecom Management Systems (TMS) team of up to 8 Engineering staff who are responsible for planning, building,
- operating and maintaining TMS vital infrastructure.
- 2. A Control Center Voice (CCVS) team including contract oversight (sustainment and capital) and ongoing approvals,
- relationships, SLA’s) of Control Center Voice Systems (CCVS) team of up to 5 Engineering contracted staff. The team, led
- and managed by this role, is responsible for plan, build, operate, and maintain of CCVS vital infrastructure and support to all
- control room staff at both FVO and SIO.
- 3. A 24/7 Operations team of IBEW Telecom Network Controllers (reporting to the Manager, Telecom Network Operations)
- with oversight of the BC Hydro Grid Telecom system.
- This role also:
- Is responsible for the security and high availability infrastructure requirements & processes, in the OT domains. These

requirements are for 24/7 infrastructure needs of the Control Room(s) and the Bulk Electric System.- Maintains a strong understanding of the organization's business needs and works closely with other departments to

ensure that OT is aligned with enterprise standards or influences changes to incorporate OT.- Develops and implements policies, procedures, and processes to improve OT operations and increase efficiency and

productivity.- Manages technology vendors and service providers to ensure that the organization's technology needs are met.
- Evaluates and implements new technologies and systems that improve OT infrastructure and support the organizations

business goals.- Manages the TNO, and OT Capital and Operations, Maintenance & Administration (OMA) budgets, ensuring that

expenses are in line with the organization's business needs and financial goals.- Leads work and resource planning, reviewing and updating annual resource work plans to ensure that all activities

required are covered.- Business initiator in OT upgrade projects providing business guidance and decision making as required to the team(s) on

all infrastructure related activities.- Participates in preparation of the business requirements and guidance in detail design and implementation process.
- Keeps up to date with Enterprise, North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), and BC Utilities Commission

(BCUC) standards, and industry trends and developments in OT operations technologies, and cybersecurity.- Manages vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on OT systems to identify potential security risks and provides

direction for remediation.- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders regarding OT cyber incident responses, determining appropriate

courses of action and ensuring thorough investigation of OT security breaches and incidents to identify root causes,
- sources, methods, and resulting damage. Reviews security event reports, determines the need for further investigation, and
- escalates to the relevant authority. Leads any necessary full reviews and reporting.- Manages the Operational user security awareness campaign strategy and framework in alignment with security policies,
- standards, and best practices.- Supports and leads as required, the development and implementation of processes to assess and monitor the

effectiveness of OT Security, Risk, and Control procedures, ensuring adherence to standards and policies as appropriate.- Advocates and actively promotes a culture of OT Cybersecurity best practices.
