**Responsibilities**:

- Handling Mitacs Accelerate research proposals
- Identifying and contacting appropriate experts to review research proposals
- Using expert feedback to make recommendations to Mitacs in a timely manner
- Providing weekly status updates on proposals

Other responsibilities may include:

- Assisting the Mitacs Research team to identify additional reviewers for Mitacs’s programs
- Providing feedback on select research proposals

**Skills and qualifications**:

- Master’s degree required, but PhD preferred
- French language proficiency (fluent in reading and writing French)
- Well-organized
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong written communication skills
- Critical thinking and excellent judgment
- Access to a computer and internet, required
- Preference may be given to applicants with a research background in one or more of the following fields: Materials Science and Engineering, Manufacturing and Construction, Advanced Manufacturing, Environmental Science and Technology, and Natural Resources

Le conseiller ou la conseillère bilingue, Évaluation de recherche, contribuera à assurer les normes de qualité de recherche de Mitacs en facilitant le processus d’évaluation par les pairs pour les programmes de Mitacs effectué par l’équipe Recherche. Il s’agit d’un poste contractuel de conseiller ou conseillère à distance, et la charge de travail variera tout au long de l’année. Vous travaillerez de façon autonome et les échanges avec l’équipe Recherche se feront principalement par courriel. Le conseiller ou la conseillère, Évaluation de recherche, sera rémunéré-e à un taux fixe pour chaque proposition de recherche traitée.

**Responsabilités**:

- Traiter les propositions de recherche Mitacs Accélération.
- Identifier et contacter des spécialistes approprié-es pour évaluer les propositions de recherche.
- Utiliser la rétroaction des spécialistes afin de faire des recommandations à Mitacs en temps opportun.
- Fournir des mises à jour hebdomadaires sur les propositions.

Autres responsabilités:

- Aider l’équipe Recherche de Mitacs à identifier des évaluateurs ou évaluatrices supplémentaires pour les programmes de Mitacs.
- Aider l’équipe Recherche de Mitacs à évaluer les demandes concernant des programmes autres que Mitacs Accélération.
- Donner de la rétroaction sur certaines propositions de recherche.
