The role of implementing a strategic plan is critical in turning strategic visions into tangible actions that drive organizational success. Here's a job description for a position focused on the implementation of a strategic plan:
Job Summary: The Strategic Plan Implementation Specialist is responsible for overseeing and executing the organization's strategic initiatives to ensure the successful implementation of the strategic plan. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, monitoring progress, and addressing challenges to achieve the established strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
Execution Oversight:

- Lead the execution of the organization's strategic plan, ensuring that initiatives are implemented according to the established timelines and milestones.
- Collaborate with departmental heads to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans.

Project Management:

- Develop and manage project plans for each strategic initiative.
- Monitor and track progress, identifying potential roadblocks and implementing solutions to keep initiatives on track.

Resource Allocation:

- Work with departmental leaders to allocate resources effectively to support the implementation of strategic initiatives.
- Ensure that teams have the necessary resources and support to achieve their goals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Foster collaboration and communication across different departments and teams involved in strategic initiatives.
- Serve as a liaison between departments to address challenges and ensure alignment with the overall strategic direction.

Performance Measurement:

- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of strategic initiatives.
- Regularly assess and report on the performance of implemented strategies to senior management.

Change Management:

- Facilitate change management processes associated with strategic initiatives.
- Work with stakeholders to address resistance and ensure a smooth transition to new processes or structures.

Risk Management:

- Identify and assess risks associated with the implementation of the strategic plan.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address potential challenges.

Continuous Improvement:

- Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented strategies and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Seek feedback from stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in project management and strategic planning,
- PMP, CAPM, or similar project management certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in management consulting, strategy, logistics operations or supply chain management

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Familiarity with change management principles.
- Familiarity with industry best practices and trends
- Communicate Effectively in French and English

Technical Skills:

- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PPT, etc.)
- Project Management tools (Microsoft Project Management, JIRA, Asana, etc.)
- Diagramming Software (Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, etc.)
