Our Labour Relations team is currently recruiting a regular full-time Labour Relations Assistant position to join the provincial labour relations team. The Labour Relations Assistant provides executive level/comprehensive support to the Executive Director, Labour Relations and In-scope Compensation and other professionals within the team to ensure the successful execution of project deliverables and timelines. You will support project deliverables, track project timelines and recommend opportunities for improvement as it relates to the collective bargaining/labour relations processes for the portfolio. You will communicate effectively while delivering various, and at times complex information in a diplomatic and concise manner. The position acts as a conduit and liaison between executive offices and other HR areas as well as external stakeholders and understands the complexity of AHS. You are an active and valued member of the Labour Relations team and your decisions and actions impact the high profile of this area. You will understand AHS systems and processes and identify solutions to process problems.

**Description**:
The role works independently to support achievement of labour relations (LR) projects and timelines, responsible for managing, research/analyzing data and information. Your experience helps you to interpret customer needs, identify solutions, address problems and respond to inquiries on behalf of the Executive Director (ED). You will also be responsible for supporting the ED and acting on the ED's behalf responding to questions. The ability to deal with changing priorities and urgent issues that arise for the ED and LR team and the ability to shift workload to accommodate requests is required. The role provides executive level and complex support to the ED by assessing client needs, answering inquiries and forwarding to the appropriate professional for resolution. You will be responsible for managing, organizing and prioritizing requests for the ED with mínimal supervision. The ability to understand the issues of the portfolio to assist in the development of effective and efficient administrative processes is required. The role is responsible for administering the ED's calendar including scheduling all committee meetings and meetings with senior leaders and direct reports. You will create and maintain an effective file management system and be responsible for travel arrangements and submission of expenses on behalf of the ED and LR senior leaders. You will work in close partnership with the ED and the LR team to help facilitate creative, innovative, timely and appropriate issue and problem resolution. Developing effective working relationships with other executives within AHS (ie vice presidents, chief zone offers) is a component of this position as well as collaborating across the organization and with the unions to accomplish key accountabilities. You will ensure sensitive and confidential issues are handled appropriately in consultation with the ED.
