**Job Description - Operations and Supply Chain Manager**

Our company is a high profile nationally recognized footwear wholesaler with distribution channels across Canada and throughout the US. With 35+ years of operations, this privately owned business prides itself on providing high quality products and unparalleled customer service to it’s growing national customer base.

Indeka is looking for an experienced Operations and Supply Chain Manager to ensure our supply chain and logistics functions operate effectively.

In this role, you will collaborate with Finance, Marketing/Sales and IT to create an effective business plan. Leadership and communication skills are essential competencies for success.

**Skill Requirements**

Ø **5 years’ Experience** as an Operational and Supply Chain Manager

Ø **Leadership and Communications** are essential - with both internal and external stakeholders

Ø **Collaborative**

Ø **Planning - **scheduling acquired needs to meet production and sales requirements

Ø **Analytical** approach, understanding all necessary aspects of the business in order to make the right decisions

Ø **Logistics**:

- from order processing to transportation, documentation, and inventory management

Ø **Finance** - Cash Flow, Budget Management, Credit

Ø **Problem-Solving** with attention to detail

Ø **Software** - Working experience with relevant software (Navision) an asset

Ø **Strong Negotiation Skills**

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Ø Leading the Operations and Supply Chain Team in executing best practices and measuring performance against agreed KPI’s

Ø Developing, implementing, monitoring and maintaining supply chain management strategies that increase the efficiency and speed of supply operation

Ø Building relationships with internal departments and external partners

Ø Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated business plans

Ø Develop strategies to maximize customer satisfaction

Ø Minimize operation costs while maximizing operational efficiencies

Ø Analyze demand trends and tracking customer orders

Ø Analyze data from shipping and delivery reports to Indeka’s KPI’s

Ø Ensure supply chain process meets Ministry of Labor standards > Storage, Racking, Fire & Safety, Power Equipment

Ø Lead in the Develop, Implementation and Maintenance of our Health & Safety Guidelines within all areas of company

Ø Maintain and manage inventory

Ø Communicate and negotiate with suppliers to ensure best pricing

Ø Assist in Annual Budget Forecasts and monitoring costs/units and staying within allocated budgets and preparing reports for same

Ø Coordinating and implementing annual physical inventory’s

Ø Recommend improvements to consistently boost processes, reduce costs and improve customer satisfaction

Ø Supervise and Train employees - optimizing Distribution Center functions
