We are looking for a Mechanical Field Supervisor to join our team. This is a great role for someone who likes a fast-paced, challenging environment, with lots of variety in their day-to-day duties. This is a full-time, permanent, long-term position with opportunities to further your career.

This role requires travel within the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley regions and includes a company vehicle. All our field leadership roles require experience with, and ability to, work on tools.

**Responsibilities**:

The job responsibilities for this role includes:

- Oversee and lead the execution of the work completed under the Mechanical Supervisor’s direction to ensure it is completed to the quality, standard, and specifications required.
- Assist with, lead by example, and oversee assigned labor crews in various construction activities and mechanical operations; including performing physical and technical tasks, such as:

- Reading/interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Installing mechanical piping and equipment.
- Installing underground piping and building plumbing systems (HDPE, PVC, Ductile Iron, Steel, Copper etc.), ranging from ½” - 60” diameter.
- Completing surveying activities and establishing pipe routing and sloping.
- Operating, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment.
- Ensure that all crew members have the required capability and training to fulfill their duties and responsibilities.
- Support and enforce all company policies and procedures that relate to the Mechanical Supervisor’s areas of authority.
- Maintain site works to meet schedules and project construction timelines using crew and operator skills, and report regularly to the Project Superintendent.
- Comply with all safety requirements for the completion of the construction works on-site.
- Establish a safe work environment through continuous training and development and by maintaining all safety standards.
- Be safety conscious and lead by example following safety policies and procedures.
- Report all accidents, incidents, and near-misses.
- Facilitate and deliver on-site training and "tool box meetings" and ensure that participation is documented and reported to Human Resources and Health, Safety, Environmental personnel.
- Operate with honesty, integrity, and respect, and maintain a client focus.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Journeyman Certification in a mechanical trade is strongly preferred.
- Diploma or Degree in a related field would be an asset.
- Experience supervising/leading a small crew of 2-5 people in a Foreman or Supervisor role
- Five years’ work experience in the mechanical construction field as a Journeyman.
