Today we are looking for a passionate Radiology Clerk who will share in this approach.
Radiology clerks are the first point of contact for our patients, whether someone is calling to book an appointment, or as they enter the clinic. In this role, the Radiology Clerk will use their excellent patient care skills to greet all of our patients in a pleasant and welcoming manner, while maintaining and ensuring optimal clinic flow. Applicants should be committed to upholding the values of CGA Medical Imaging and take pride in their work while ensuring accuracy and compassionate care to everyone we serve. In addition, they will work efficiently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, as an integral part of the CGA Medical Imaging team.
**Qualifications**:
- Graduate of a recognized Medical Office Assistant program
- Current CPR certification
- Previous healthcare experience required, previous radiology experience an asset
- Excellent attention to detail, time management and multitasking skills are required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently and complete duties to highest level of accuracy in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment
- Ability to prioritize patient care and ensure optimal patient experiences in all interactions
- Familiarity and experience using Netcare
- Other duties as required
**Responsibilities**:
- Provides a variety of receptionist duties, including checking patients in for diagnostic tests and answering telephone calls
- Greeting all patients and visitors in a warm and welcoming manner
- Updating patient data and records
- Maintains overall clinic schedule
- Accurately entering patient data and booking diagnostic tests in accordance with CGA Medical Imaging procedures and protocols
- Interviews patients to obtain demographic and health information
- Retrieving required and relevant patient information from Netcare
- Maintaining the highest level of patient privacy in all daily tasks
- Collects money and issues receipts
- Assists and informs patients of required exam preparations
- Performs regular cleaning and disinfecting of patient areas to ensure Alberta Health Infection Prevention and Control standards are met.
- Reviews contents of files for quality assurance standards
- Assists in the orientation and training of clerical staff and students
