**About us**: The Regional Operations Division (ROD) is accountable for the implementation and delivery of provincial resource management policy and programs on local and provincial levels. We play a key role in managing Crown land, including forestry, fish and wildlife and aggregates. We provide authorizations for the use of Crown land and resources such as those to support mining and infrastructure projects like large-scale transmission lines, renewable energy and all-weather roads, or those related to resource-based tourism, which is a mainstay in Northwestern Ontario. We conduct monitoring and compliance and work in partnership with Indigenous communities on a wide range of initiatives, including the development of community-based land use plans in the Far North. We also perform a critical public safety role in supporting responses to emergencies such as wildfires and floods.

**Our Districts** are made up of dedicated teams of resource management professionals who carry out our business related to resource management programs such as forestry, fish & wildlife, lands & waters, aggregates, and emergency management. We are seeking two District Managers: one for the Thunder Bay-Ignace District (position headquarters can be Thunder Bay or Ignace) and one for Dryden-Fort Frances-Atikokan District (position headquarters can be Dryden Fort Frances, or Atikokan).

**The Land Use Planning, and Strategic Initiatives Section (LUPSIS)** is responsible for the implementation of the MNRF's land use planning business in the Northwest Region (e.g., land use planning, water management planning, environmental assessment, decision making frameworks) along with regional issues and communications management. We are seeking one manager for this section and the headquarters can be Atikokan, Dryden, Fort Frances, Geraldton, Ignace, Kenora, Nipigon, Red Lake, Sioux Lookout or Thunder Bay.
