**Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction**

Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction is the government’s solution provider and supports the significant events in Albertans’ lives, like having a child, getting married, mourning the loss of a loved one, getting a driver’s license, or buying a home.

Our ministry is responsible for protecting consumers in an increasingly complex economic environment; overseeing registry activities, like vehicle, business and land registrations; and cutting red tape by one-third to reduce costs, speed up approvals, and make life easier for hard-working Albertans and businesses.

**Role Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Executive Director of Registries and Resolutions, as the Director, you will lead a team of business, technical, and policy professionals for the operation of the personal property registry (PPR) as well as providing policy, analytics, contract, equipment, and system maintenance to all programs used by the Registries and Resolutions Branch. This includes support, testing, and liaising with partners and programs in the maintenance and stability of key systems, including helping to imagine and realize system improvements.

As the Director, you will be responsible for the development of new models to assist with forecasting operational challenges in the Branch systems and establishing realistic client-focused service benchmarks for the branch programs. In this position, you will also be a key resource to the registries evolution team in ensuring that team members within depth understanding of systems being modernized are available to participate on project activities.

Specific accountabilities of the Director of Business & System Support include:

- Represent the Personal Property Registry (PPR) in Canadian Conference of Personal Property Security Law (CCPPSL) meetings.
- Collaborate with cross-jurisdictional partners to ensure consistency in personal property and securities registration.
- Maintain and manage essential systems for Vital Statistics, Corporate Registry, and CBN Hub.
- Identify opportunities to streamline service delivery through technology with Registries Modernization teams.
- Manage service disruptions and participate in Disaster Recovery exercises to ensure system readiness.
- Manage contracts with key business partners and vendors, ensuring fulfillment and efficiency.
- Leverage business data to understand program trends, measure performance, and inform decision-making, while maintaining data security and integrity.
- Refresh operational policy documents and system to ensure they remain current and responsive to business unit needs.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- University graduation in a field related to the position
- PLUS 7 years of progressively responsible experience Equivalencies will be considered on a one-for-one basis**Experience or knowledge that will be considered an asset**:

- Experience leading complex teams.
- Experience with the gathering and communication of business intelligence.
- Experience in project management, including familiarity with the principles of Agile project management.
- Experience working with contracted service delivery partners.
- Experience in IMT project lifecycle including UAT cycles, launch, and change management.
