**Job Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Supports financial reporting activities by planning, coordinating, and monitoring the outcomes of tasks, and advising on controls and process inefficiencies.
- Investigates and resolves issues related to financial reporting and the underlying processes.
- Supports the tax compliance activities of the University by researching and summarizing regulatory requirements, liaising with stakeholders to determine actions required, and resolving process issues.
- Supports the service delivery of the Controller’s Office by responding to or redirecting campus inquiries on financial transaction matters.
- Direct management and oversight of clerical and co-op student staff.

**Note**
The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.

**Required Qualifications**
- Undergraduate degree in a related field such as commerce or business administration preferably with concentration in accounting plus at least five years’ relevant work experience (or equivalent combination of training and experience).
- Completion of the Canadian CPA designation.
- Demonstrated expertise identifying and implementing process improvements within a complex organization. Comfort with documenting processes and knowledge sharing through meetings and presentations.
- Proficiency with ERP systems processing large volumes of data and competency in the Microsoft Office Suite with exceptional Excel abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex and confidential matters with excellent judgment, discretion, and tact, and the ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions.
