**What You’ll Be Doing**

Reporting to the Quality Manager of Petra, the **QA/QC Technician** will be responsible for upholding and maintaining SOP's related to the Quality Department as well as playing a key role in the day-to-day business support function with the leadership team. Conducting tests and preparing documentation for raw materials and finished goods are some examples of tasks you will be involved with in this role.

The QA/QC Technician is accountable for delivering on the following key accountabilities and providing direct support to the Quality Manager on any other matters related to the successful operations of business support and daily tasks. In addition, the QA/QC Technician plays a key coordination role across the business, helping the leadership team integrate quality throughout the different departments at Petra, including R&D and Production.

**How You’ll Succeed | Day in the Life at Petra**
- Support the Quality Manager in developing strategic initiatives for the department and developing SOPs to streamline processes of the multi-year strategic plan and roadmap of Petra Hygienic Systems
- Execute and perform testing as per methods, following the company’s Quality Assurance Standard Operating Procedures, Deviations and Change Control programs and cGMP guidelines
- Work closely with internal partners and members of other departments such as Production, R&D on daily tasks for product testing, ensuring data integrity, as well as client support
- Proactively identify any chemical damages or chemical spills and clean up as necessary
- Provide overall support, expertise and guidance to the Petra team as it relates to various project timelines, quality team weekly priorities, key milestones, and workflow
- Conduct regular testing, analysis and inspection of bulk manufactured batches and finished goods lots while testing stability samples as per SOPs
- Identify any trends within products and have a strong understanding of Quality policies and procedures
- Liaise with third-party organizations, such as external laboratories, as needed
- Create a positive work environment and be an effective role model by championing Petra’s mission, vision and values in the Quality Department

**Who You Are | Role Requirements**
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related Science field such as Chemistry or Biotech
- Proven experience in identifying, developing and implementing initiatives and dealing with complex problems independently
- Excellent communication skills including well-developed e-communication skills, strong writing and a proven ability to influence others in situations where differences of opinion may exist
- Have developed knowledge of problem-solving and project management skills, typically gained through prior experience in 1 - 3 years of customer services roles
- Demonstrated ability to listen, and interpret information to deliver on business requirements
- Ability to prioritize tasks and balance the immediate and long-term needs of the business
- Have strong problem-solving skills and high-level attention to detail
- You are proactive and solutions-oriented, and collaborate well in a diverse, fast-paced work environment
