Operations include two manufacturing plants located in Edmonton and Customer Solution Centres located in Langley, Edmonton, Calgary, Lethbridge, Red Deer, Saskatoon, Regina, and Winnipeg.

**In this position, you will be responsible for...**
- Ensure monthly GL coding for miscellaneous payments and adjustments are correct
- Monthly/yearly management of volume rebates
- Month End close process, ensure ledger to sub-ledger balances, all transactions are entered, Customer statements run (given to Collection team to review - submit to customer)
- Ensure GST, HST, PST and Payroll Tax payments are made on time.
- Participates in continuous process improvements
- Verify purchase requests for materials, supplies, equipment, and other collateral; verify that orders are charged to the proper GL accounts.
- Prioritize data entry of supplier invoices based on invoice terms, meeting standard data entry requirements of 1800 to 2700 invoices per month.
- Review bills to the company for potential errors and/or discrepancies. Investigating and resolving billing discrepancies
- Balance daily A/P batches; prepare and distribute payment reports and statistics to key personnel.
- Ensure all GST/HST and Provencal taxes are coded to proper GL accounts; monitor under/overages of taxes.
- Prepare and fill out payments to third parties, whether by EFT, cheque, credit, and other forms of payment.
- Form payment strategies to make timely A/P payments and mitigate supplier objections.
- Ensure same day distribution of cheques, departmental, EFT notices, mailing and courier upon return of signed cheque.
- Ensure vendor invoices are filed correctly in pending and paid files within the alphabetic filing system.

**Primary Qualifications Required**:

- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- University Degree or College diploma with a background in bookkeeping or accounting preferred
- 3 - 5 years in high volume environment
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office
- Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables and V Look ups
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Highly organized
- Effective time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced/multi-task environment
