**Scrum Master**

**Terms**:Full-time permanent**Salary**:Commensurate with experience**Location**:Ottawa (Hybrid Work Model - at least 1 day per week in-office)**ABOUT THE ROLE**:As a Scrum Master, you are a servant leader who seeks to energize your team by fostering transparency, inspection, and adaptation to deliver value to our internal and external partners. You are comfortable having tough conversations, one-on-ones, and group discussions within your team, as well as advising and communicating with senior leadership.**Main responsibilities**:

- Coach and teach your team to work within the Scrum framework, aid the team to identify and remove impediments, and support the Product Owner in backlog management.
- Facilitate scrum events and meetings within and across teams.
- Work collaboratively with other teams to manage dependencies.
- Support the team with reporting metrics such as burn-down charts and dashboards.
- Remove of impediments so your team can thrive.

**Must Have Qualifications**:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Scrum Master working within a complex technical environment.
- Experience coaching and facilitation (individuals and groups).
- Experience with Digital Scrum / Kanban boards and backlogs, preferably Azure DevOps.

**Desired Qualifications**:

- Scrum Master certification (preferably from Scrum.org).
- Experience with Business and Digital Transformation.
- Familiarity with ITIL incident management, problem resolution, and change management, reflecting a strategic understanding of IT service delivery and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with design, deployment, and maintenance of hybrid, cloud, and on-premises infrastructure (Azure, M365, and other relevant platforms).

**In Your First 30-90 Days**:

- Complete our orientation program with other new hires to learn about HSO, our values of trust, inclusion, collaboration, innovation and learning, and our mission of quality improvement in healthcare and social services.
- Set your performance and learning objectives for the year in collaboration with your people manager.
- Meet regularly with your people manager to discuss your learning progression and alignment for your accountabilities.
- Take on assigned initiatives or projects for your role.
