Linck Child, Youth & Family Supports (“Linck”) requires a **Child Protection Supervisor**. This is a **contract, full-time **(70 hour bi-weekly) position beginning as soon as possible and ending **March 8, 2024**.

The Child Protection Supervisor may direct the effective management of new service requests and/or all on-going child protection cases (and children in care where applicable). The Supervisor will monitor workload assignments and ranges, provide consultation to Child Protection Workers regarding the prioritization of work, provide clinical supervision regarding the safety and well-being of children and youth, participate when needed in the actual provision of services, make final decisions regarding child protection safety plans, participate in Agency committees concerned with service, provide coverage for colleagues, ensure complaints about service delivery are addressed promptly and respectfully, represent the Agency with professional and community groups, and ensure all services are carried out in accordance with the Child, Youth and Family Services Act (“CYFSA”) and with Ministry, Agency, and professional standards.

**Qualifications**:

- At minimum, a Bachelor of Social Work or Honours Bachelor of Arts (BA), but a Masters of Social Work is preferred;
- a minimum of three years’ experience in a child welfare agency or related experience;
- knowledge of the standards for family and children’s services and related CYFSA legislation;
- successful completion of the Authorization Candidacy Exam (ACE)/Authorized worker;
- strong understanding and belief in Anti-Oppressive Practice, Anti-Racism, and Early Help for children, youth, and families;
- demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the histories, cultures, and rights of Indigenous peoples; the overrepresentation of Indigenous and Black children and youth in the child welfare sector and the impact those have on service delivery;
- preference will be given to persons with a strong understanding and extensive experience working with other cultures, heritages and traditions;
- a commitment to developing the highest quality culturally responsive service possible for the various communities that we serve;
- tact and diplomacy, excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills;
- the ability to communicate in French is an asset; and
- a valid driver’s license and use of a reliable personal vehicle.
