The Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) Program provides specialized community based mental health services to children and youth with mental health challenges, and their families in BC. The CYMH Provincial Services Branch is responsible for the development and implementation of coordinated programs and services and strategic planning within Service Delivery Division to support delivery of CYMH services across the province. These services align with the MCFD Strategic Framework, CYMH Strategic Framework and with the Ministry of Mental Health and Addictions Mental Health Strategy.

The position functions as a lead for programs and initiatives within CYMH Provincial Services. The position provides expertise and leadership in the research, development, implementation, and evaluation of CYMH service delivery initiatives.

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (Clinical), Counselling, Educational Psychology, Health Promotion and Prevention, Special Education, Child and Youth Care or the social sciences, or equivalent field.
- A minimum of 5 years of related experience in the field of child and youth mental health.
- Experience in the research of and development and/or revision of resources.
- Experience in program planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.

**Preference may be given to qualified applicants with experience in one or more of the following**:

- Master’s degree in in Social Work (Clinical), Counselling, Educational Psychology, Health Promotion and Prevention, Special Education, Child and Youth Care or the social sciences, or equivalent field.
- Experience providing clinical child and youth mental health services.
- Experience working with Indigenous children, youth, and families, and/or with Indigenous communities.
- Experience in the facilitation of adult orientation/education/training.
