Allocation Analyst

As the Allocation Analyst, you are the key intermediary between the supply chain and sales teams. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory information, supporting fulfillment targets, and ensuring smooth operations across various sales channels. You will leverage Python, SQL, and Excel to create reports and troubleshoot inventory inquiries. This role is also responsible for continuous improvement in the inventory allocation process and cross-training on planning processes.

**Inventory Planning and Analysis**:

- Implement continuous improvement strategies to optimize allocation.
- Take ownership of inventory allocation against wholesale bookings and forecasts.
- Conduct regular reviews of the order book and update allocations as needed.
- Communicate product shortages to stakeholders and manage order changes.
- Serve as a liaison for wholesale, dealer service, and commercialization inquiries.
- Make decisions regarding air and ocean shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis on inventory regarding changes to the supply or demand plan.
- Troubleshoot discrepancies in planning files and data logic, and identify root causes.
- Plan and coordinate transfers between physical and virtual locations.
- Work with the Operations team to ensure on-time delivery and identify gaps in supply against demand schedules.

**Reporting and Communication**:

- Lead communication across various sales channels to ensure inventory status and demand projections are clearly understood.
- Produce and present regular reports on order fulfillment, inventory levels, and projections.
- Provide clear and timely communication regarding inventory issues and changes.
- Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders.
- Maintain accurate inventory data and validate data integrity.
- Troubleshoot and maintain Snowflake databases.
- Update allocation and forecast data and manage the uploading process.
- Cross-train other team members on planning processes.

**Additional Responsibilities**:

- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline planning and inventory processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Lead presentations on reporting, knowledge transfers, and process updates.

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Python, SQL, and Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree in math, economics, statistics, business management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with experience in B2B and DTC (Direct to Consumer).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex information to diverse audiences.
- Experience with Snowflake, SAP, and WMS systems is a plus.
- Apparel industry experience is an asset.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 9 months
