**THE OPPORTUNITY**

As the Clinical Dietician reporting to the Food Services Manager, your role is essential in delivering excellent patient care within the hospital. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive nutritional care to patients, including the provision of nutritional assessments, care planning including developing and implementing personalized nutrition care plans, evaluating the effectiveness of nutrition plans of care, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes through evidence-based practices.

To deliver care plans successfully, you will be required to collaborate with the food services team to design and oversee patient meal plans that meet the therapeutic needs, dietary restrictions, and preferences of our patients. Interdisciplinary collaboration will be required, working closely with the healthcare team to provide integrated and person-centered care. You will be responsible for clinical documentation, maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient assessments, care plans and progress. You will also provide nutritional education and counseling to patients, family members and staff regarding dietary needs, meal planning, and lifestyle changes.

Job Requirements:
**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**
- Bachelor degree in Nutrition or equivalent
- Current membership in the College of Dietitians of Ontario, in good standing
- Membership with Dietitians of Canada (DC), preferred
- CNSC designation is an asset
- Experience with Computrition
- A minimum of 2 years clinical experience in nutrition care support of adult patient population in an acute care setting
- Demonstrated excellence in clinical nutrition, clinical assessment and interventions
- Experience with g-tubes/j-tubes in patient care
- Excellent assessment, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a interprofessional team
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes.
- French verbal and written communication skills are considered an asset in this position.

**HOURS OF WORK**

Permanent Full Time. Current schedule is Monday to Friday day shift. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements and as per the OPSEU collective agreement.
