We have an immediate opening for a**n Operations Specialist** **at our Abbotsford BC district.

**Operations Administrator Duties**:
The Operations Administrator will require superior organizations skills. This role will serve as the resident expert for this small but busy office. Items that will fill your day include: scheduling and dispatching multiple commercial Drivers for waste collection. Coordinating drivers according to customer requests and company rules, communicates with customers to determine driver needs, schedules and notifies divers of assignments. You will be the first line of communication to ensure daily pick-ups are completed, and resolve issues that impede progress.
- Monitors and tracks progress of drivers, using a 2-way radio, throughout the work day in order to ensure timely completion of assigned routes
- Assigns commercial pickups to appropriate waste collection routes
- Updates and maintains all assigned line of business routes in TRUX system
- Prints and disperses route sheets to drivers as needed, timely closure of routes to enable accurate billing.
- Serves as a single point of contact for all internal and external customers
- Liaise with internal teams to determine service requirements, resolve problems or complaints

**Admin/Reception Duties**:

- Serve visitors by greeting and assisting them or directing them to the appropriate party
- Receiving and matching invoices for month-end A/P accruals
- Ensures divisions PO log is accurate and complete and that invoices are paid or submitted for payment
- Reviews division p-card batches for accuracy and enters division invoices into company’s accounting system for check payments
- Entering customer payment,
- Reconciling intercompany transactions & preparing journal entries
- Reconciling cash log
- Collection calls on overdue accounts
- Maintain appropriate files and documentation, in accordance with company policy and internal controls

**Requirements**:

- 2-3 years of customer service/office admin experience in a transportation related environment.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, TRUX
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Critical and logical thinking skills
