**ABOUT THE ROLE**

We are seeking an energetic and highly organized **Permanent Full-time** **Scheduling & Staffing Coordinator **for our long-term care home You will create and implement schedules for 24/7 coverage of Nurses and Personal Support Workers in our Nursing Department. Although we are a Jewish home, we welcome residents and staff from all backgrounds and with all lived experiences.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Create and maintain schedules and staff rotations for Nursing Department, including annual vacation calendars, time off requests, assigning shifts, and managing attendance and overtime. Direct and report to after-hours Scheduling team on staffing shortages daily.
- Coordinate and schedule team members returning from leaves of absence, support the modified return-to-work process, find replacements for sick or emergency call-ins using the call-in process.
- Maintain accurate scheduling and timesheet records on Ceridian Dayforce modules to ensure timely payroll, and verify and manage vacation, sick, and statutory holiday leaves.
- Provide occasional Reception relief, maintain verification of credentials for Registered staff, recommend innovative scheduling practices to improve staffing efficiency, and participate in special projects and meetings.
- Perform other duties as required to ensure the safety and well-being of the residents in the Home.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Communicates clearly and effectively in verbal and written English.
- Manages, organizes, and prioritizes time and resources effectively to meet deadlines, maintains composure under pressure.
- Proactively identifies and resolves problems with creative solutions.
- Exhibits strong interpersonal skills, a professional and positive attitude, and provides excellent customer service with tact and diplomacy.
- Demonstrates judgement and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Proficient computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Prior work experience in scheduling or staffing support in healthcare, long-term care, or unionized environments.
- Prior experience with Ceridian Dayforce, or other Scheduling, Timekeeping or HRIS software.
- Recruitment or Human Resources administrative experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of practices and traditions of the Jewish religion is an asset.
