**Position Overview**

We are seeking an experienced **Plumbing** **Foreman/Woman** to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful **Plumbing** **Foreman/Woman** will be able to look after small to medium size projects and perform the necessary duties including but not limited to installation of Plumbing systems from start to finish, able to run manpower, maintain a positive attitude, supervise and teach apprentices the trade.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Install repair and maintain plumbing fixtures and systems

Ability to perform the following: joining, soldering, bending and brazing of a variety of copper tubing and plastic piping

Ability to read and interpret blue prints and schematic drawings

Demonstrated knowledge of plumbing standards and the city plumbing code

Ability to work in an organized environment

Good communication/interpersonal skills

Supervise workers and projects

Train and arrange for training

Ensure health and safety regulations are followed

Reserve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity

Install, hot and cold potable water systems, low pressure steam distribution systems, underground sanitary storm systems and hydronic systems in the commercial and institutional environment.

**Education and Experience**

5 years of Plumbing experience

**Qualifications**

Writing, oral communication, problem solving, decision making, critical thinking job task planning and organizing.

Team player, motivated and detail orientated

Certificate of completion of a vocational school in a certified plumbing apprenticeship program

5 Years institutional plumbing

5 years commercial construction plumbing

Gas license not required, but would be an asset

Valid driver's license, WAH, WHIMIS, MOL 5 Steps, AODA, 1st Aid & CPR

Willingness to observe safety precautions for protections against accidents

Must be able to work onsite on a day-to-day basis in Southwestern Ontario

Basic security clearance, criminal record check, driving record check (abstract)

Please note that a valid Ontario Driver's License is required. Must be able to work onsite on a day-to-day basis in Southwestern Ontario.
