**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Manager of the Accommodations Test Centre (ATC), the Operations Manager provides leadership and oversight of day to day operations within the ATC. The ATC is an enterprise-wide initiative that is ultimately responsible for the stewardship, facilitation and on-going delivery of the University’s accommodated exam procedures and policies.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Supervise three full-time CUPE staff and several casual student staff.
- Ensure daily operations of the ATC pertaining to the implementation of accommodations so as to protect the University from litigation under the Human Rights Act.
- Collaborate with the Manager in establishing and monitoring unit goals and objectives, and ensuring alignment of these activities with the University Strategic Plan.
- Support the Manager in the development of accommodated exam and testing policy, procedures, and programming that contribute to the overall objectives of Student Accessibility, and the University, focusing on the provision of exceptional and consistent service to students.
- Coordinate programming that is aligned with academic integrity, resolving issues or concerns regarding exam services from students or instructors, developing and implementing creative solutions and/or referring to academic units as necessary.
- Share the responsibility with other ATC staff for the ongoing technical and functional development of the software/hardware systems that drive the ATC.
- Provide campus-wide education and guidance for instructors and staff and is expected to be an expert user of the enterprise software (Accommodate Symplicity).
- Support the development and provision of a variety of educational opportunities to the University community in relation to exam/test/quiz accommodations for students.
- Assist in allocating the annual budget for student administrative staff/invigilators/readers/scribes.
- Identify potential cost efficiencies within the discretionary annual budget and contribute to the ATC’s yearly projections.
- Other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

**Position Requirements**:

- Undergraduate degree in a social science, human service, computer science or business discipline.
- 3-5 years experience, which includes experience working in a post-secondary environment.
- Administrative and supervisory experience; competency in selection, training and mentorship of staff.
- knowledge and understanding of a variety of disabilities, assessment interpretation and client interviewing techniques.
- Because of the confidentiality requirements and legal ramifications of action, staff require appropriate supervision and direction.
- Ability to recognize and set professional boundaries while maintaining an approachable and welcoming environment.
- Ability to strategically plan for Centre activity by identifying opportunities for efficiencies.
- Knowledge of the institution, including governance policies/procedures, programs and services.
- Diplomacy in communication with students, staff and instructors. The ability to remain calm and articulate in conflict situations.
- Clarity and accuracy in written and oral communication.
- Well-developed listening skills.
- Confidence in conveying information to both large and small diverse audiences.
- Advanced technical computer skills and demonstrated expertise in database management are required.
- Supervisory communication on a daily basis. Required to role model, determine priorities, convey pertinent information and promote staff development.
- Knowledge related to the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission (SHRC), Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPOP), Health Information Protection Act (HIPA), current legislation and accommodation standards.

Pay Grade APT 5 Salary Range $67,626 - $91,266 Status Permanent Work Hours

Monday - Friday, 8:15 am - 4:30 pm with shift work required during peak exam times, approximately 2 weeks per term.
