**About You**:
Reporting to the Health Services Director, the Health Services Manager
- Neurology is responsible for the planning and coordination of services and daily operations (24/7) of excellent patient-centered care on the Neurology Inpatient Unit (7.4 HI) within and external to the Central Zone of Nova Scotia Health Authority. The 33 bed inpatient unit is comprised of Neurology service, Stroke service and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU).

**About the Opportunity**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Master's degree in a clinical discipline and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the employer
- Must be registered with and a member in good standing of the relevant health discipline college/association
- 5 to 7 years of relevant clinical experience in hospital-based care
- Previous leadership/management experience
- Demonstrates strong and comprehensive leadership skills, excellent communication skills, the ability to present complex issues with clarity and credibility, a visionary, innovator and motivator
- Capacity to manage multiple, competing priorities, problem-solve and direct others
- Well versed in quality management principles
- Knowledgeable in the areas of Best Practice, Evidence-Based Practice with well developed knowledge of hospital-based systems and service delivery models
- Demonstrated increasing levels of management ability; as well strong leadership, strategic thinking and implementation skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of Neurosciences would be an asset
- Strong budget development and monitoring skills
- Highly effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach and lead professional teams to high levels of achievement
- Familiar with health and mental health legal issues, provincial and federal government policy issues, the role of the various disciplines, professional bodies and how they should be involved; leading edge research in the field including evidence-based clinical practices and evaluation processes
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

**Hours**:

- Permanent, Full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly

**Compensation and Incentives**:
$42.63 - $56.64 Hourly
