**Role**
Reporting to the Deputy Minister Forestry and Parks, the Assistant Deputy Minister Parks Division will lead and direct province-wide parks programs that balance the recreational and conservation interests and needs of the public. An integral member of the department's executive team, you will develop and coordinate policy decisions that support ministry and corporate goals

Through continued implementation of the Plan for Parks and other strategies and partnerships, you will ensure that the 11,000 square kilometers of land and infrastructure managed by the division meets its conservation mandate, supports nature-based tourism and provides top quality outdoor recreation experiences.

Developing and maintaining collaborative relationships across government, with municipalities and other government jurisdictions, associations, First Nations, interest groups, and other stakeholders to ensure common interests and corporate goals are achieved will be key to your success.

**Salary**
$6,035.80 - $7,921.30 bi-weekly ($157,534 - $206,745 yearly)

**Notes**

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity located in Edmonton. Travel within the region on a regular basis and throughout the province on occasion may be required as part of your responsibilities.
