Job Summary

As part of Sagen’s Sales leadership team, the Regional VP, Ontario Sales primary goal is to drive sustainable competitive advantage through the leadership and strategic direction of Ontario sales team. The role will leverage analytics, market intelligence and consistent business routines to develop and implement innovative ideas, concepts, and approaches to growing Sagen’s market share and promote corporate brand recognition and achieve sales goals. The role requires regular travel within the Ontario region to support the Account Managers and develop strong relationships with senior customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide strategic and tactical management, set directions, and motivate the Ontario sales team to drive top line, profitable growth.
- Effective coaching and mentoring of Account Managers to ensure ongoing development of their knowledge and skills to drive success through joint sales call interactions and sales call coaching.
- Create and monitor development plans for Account Managers to ensure areas of development are being addressed.
- Develop and manage key senior lender contacts focused on improving overall customer experience and establish mutually beneficial senior regional relationships.
- Promote leadership and team presence during industry events and planned Sagen regional events.
- Collaborate with the Business Development Leaders to ensure consistency between national and regional initiatives.
- Work with the Risk and Underwriting leadership to ensure teams are aligned around customer needs while balancing the current risk appetite.
- Be the “Voice of the Customer” - work closely with all departments to continually assess the market to identify current and/or future customer needs and requirements.
- Manage appropriate media presence & raise regional Sagen presence.
- Accountable for regional knowledge (economic, employment, regulatory, industry) leveraging internal Regional Risk and Operations partnerships as well as external relationships.
- Establish recruiting pipeline for future Account Manager vacancies/roles.

**Qualifications**:
**Knowledge and Experience**:

- 7+ years of sales leadership experience in the mortgage lending industry.
- University degree.
- Demonstrated experience in; strategic sales management and coaching, with a proven track record of top line results.
- Extensive experience leading a sales team.
- Proven success in managing multiple assignments/priorities and deadlines, in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
- In-depth understanding of financial services and proven success in developing and implementing successful sales strategies.
- Understanding and knowledge of CRM tools are an asset.
