Seniors, Community and Social Services provides supports for seniors, families, and communities, and helps Albertans access disability services, financial supports, affordable housing, services for the homeless, and other social-based programs. The Ministry supports Albertans through a person-centered, integrated service delivery model that recognizes the unique circumstances, experiences and strengths of individuals and families.
**Role Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Program Manager, the CMR (Capital Maintenance and Renewal) Program Coordinator is responsible for leading the delivery of assigned Capital Maintenance and Renewal projects on behalf of the Alberta Social Housing Corporation (ASHC).
The CMR Program Coordinator is responsible for the following:
- Developing project specifications.
- Day to day management of assigned projects.
- Dealing with diverse clients, internal and external stakeholders, consultants, and contractors associated with assigned capital projects.
- Balancing occasionally conflicting interests and requirements to contribute to the delivery of projects within approved scope, scheduled, and budget constraints.
The CMR Program Coordinator will also be responsible for monitoring and reviewing contracts on projects being completed by Housing Management Bodies (HMB). The CMR Program Coordinator will actively monitor projects, be a point of contact, ensure compliance, and meet with the HMB as needed and quarterly to update cash flows.
In addition, the CMR Program Coordinator will provide input to the capital improvement strategy for the Housing Capital Programs Branch for ASHC and HMB owned Capital Regeneration/Development (including HMB owned lodge renewal grants, Affordable & Homeless Housing Initiatives, etc.), and other ASHC supported housing projects.
Travel to various project locations throughout the province will be required.
To be successful in this position, you will require strong coordination and organizational skills to effectively manage multiple complex tasks; strong problem-solving skills to identify, analyze and evaluate problems and develop sound solutions, as well as excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Your demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders will be an important success factor for this position.

**Qualifications**:
**Minimum Requirements**:
- Two-year technical diploma in architecture, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of project coordination experience related to delivering capital projects.
- Experience reading and understanding construction documents, including detailed drawings and specifications.
- Experience developing scope and specifications.
- Valid driver’s license to conduct site visits.
**Equivalency**:Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of: 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.
**Assets**:
- Certification as a Project Manager or Construction Administrator.
- Membership in ASET (Certified Engineering Technologist) or equivalent accreditation
- Proficiency with M365 products
- On-site experience with capital projects
