Established in 2003, owned and operated by Dr. Andre Tam, our friendly and dedicated team is seeking an experienced and personable Level II Dental Assistant. Clinical schedule supports work-life balance: Tue 10 to 6; Wed 11 to 7; Thu 8 to 4; Fri 8 to 4. We work a very limited number of Saturdays, four per year (the 2nd Saturday of Sept; Nov; Feb; May from 8 to 1). Located in Waterdown with easy access to the 403/transit and ample parking.

Assistant Duties:

- Assist the dentist during procedures (composite, crown & bridge, endo, simple extractions)
- Take digital x-rays
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Educate patients on postoperative care
- Enter planned and completed treatment in computer and schedule next restorative appointment (Abledent)

Qualifications:

- must have graduated as a level 2 Dental Assistant and be HARP certified
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients on postoperative care
- Dental reception experience and Abledent an asset
