**Position Type**: Permanent Full Time
**Schedule**: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (8:00am - 4:00pm) - (Evening and Weekends may be required)
**Reporting to**: Senior Director of Affordable Housing and Property Management
**Location**: Edmonton - Prairie Manor

The Mustard Seed Edmonton is committed to transitioning people who are homeless into sustainable and healthy lifestyles. The Edmonton Housing Manager is responsible for overseeing the Housing Teams in Edmonton, and providing onsite support for Prairie Manor Team. The Housing Manager will oversee housing operations, engage in programming to provide ongoing addiction and mental health supports, as well as be responsible for day-to-day supervision at Prairie Manor, 24/7 on-call scheduling, internal and external reporting, and will oversee all case management activities.

**MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Initial Responsibilities**:
Oversee day to day operations as acting supervisor for Prairie Manor Supportive Housing facility, a Low Intensity Permanent Supportive Housing model with a client-centered approach to care within a multi-disciplinary team model. The manager will and work with Sr Housing Director to oversee operations at other Housing programs in the Edmonton area.
Work closely with the Sr. Housing Director to ensure appropriate hiring, orientation and evaluation processes are adhered to and program specific training is fully engaged.
Together with Team Leads, and housing supervisors and managers, work to manage and direct permanent and relief housing staff, fostering a team-based environment to motivate and inspire staff to work collaboratively toward program goals, meet and exceed established performance goals, and improve client outcomes.
Ensure that policies and procedures are up to date and implemented in daily operations. Oversee best practices that adhere to housing stability and long term housing retention
In conjunction with Property Management, continue the intake and outtake process, and maintain adherence to the Residential Tenancy Act.
Serve as approving manager for participant enrollment and discharges; responsible for determining program eligibility and funding source, and assigning participants to Housing Support Workers Establish and implement resident engagement as per funding requirements, best practices, etc.
Cultivate new and existing partnerships that will increase client skills and establish goals (life management skills, educational and/or career goals, financial management skills, health and wellness goals and decision-making skills)

**Ongoing Responsibilities**:

- Monitor, work within and evaluate the approved budget
- Manage Supportive Housing services to ensure efforts are in line with established performance goals, accountability/compliance expectations, and long-term program goals of income and housing stability
- Ensure the Supportive Housing team provides an empowering, client-centered approach to case management that demonstrates care and promotes housing and income stability
- Ensure that team leads/supervisors are overseeing employee caseloads in that employees meet performance expectation and are actively engaging community resources
- Continuous adherence to Good Neighbor Plan and program model
- Prepare clear, concise and comprehensive reports, studies, and other reports as requested by Sr. Directors and Executive Teams
- Oversee overall data quality of Supportive Housing program activity in ETO (Efforts to Outcome) ensuring accuracy and completeness of timely documentation
- Review, follow up and support employees with any critical incidents
- Cover On call and scheduled shifts as needed
- Oversee and approve payroll hours, vacation and sick time
- Represent The Mustard Seed externally as requested by the Sr. Housing Director
- Collaborate and communicate with other program areas of The Mustard Seed
- Actively participate in Program Leadership team, communicate and work collaboratively with other programs and agency Client Services.
- Health and Safety adherence

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**
- Degree/Diploma in Human Services field and two years of related work experience
- Experience working with case management, addiction and mental health is considered an asset
- Minimum one year work experience working with those experiencing homelessness; direct experience with Housing First initiatives considered an ass
