**Restaurant Supervisor**

**The Role**:
Performs all duties to maximize guest satisfaction and a quality work environment as directed by the Restaurant Manager. It is also the responsibility of the Supervisor to efficiently handle all restaurant services.

**Activities**:
**This position requires working all shifts including weekends, and holidays**
- Greets guests arriving at the Restaurant
- Checking reservations
- Ensuring that guests are quickly and properly seated
- Ensuring that servers are quick on their feet and able to answer customer enquiries on the day’s dishes
- Ensuring dishes arrive promptly
- Going around and seeking customers’ feedback on the food and service
- Giving kitchen and service staff customer feedback
- Ensuring the restaurant is sufficiently staffed
- Ensuring that staff are dressed smartly
- Ensuring new staff are properly trained
- Organizing the waiting system and consulting with the servers on their responsibilities
- Liaising with the kitchen staff to see what specials are available and if there are any changes to the menu
- Dealing with problems that arise
- checking bills, cashing up and may balance books for the shift/day
- supervising the restaurant clean up and closing
- Inspect food being served
- Inspect to ensure stock is adequate before beginning operation.
- Know what items are not available to guests.
- Up sells established menu items or specials to maximize food and beverage revenues
- To bus and reset tables as required
- To report any irregularities or comments from our guests
- To consistently exceed guest expectations
- To ensure surrounding staff are working safely
- Taking reservations by telephone
- Product knowledge of food, bar drinks and wines will be helpful
- Attributes such as being polite, courteous, and working effectively in a team environment are a must
- Additional duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager

**Competencies We Are Seeking**:

- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent command of the English language, secondary language a benefit.
- Must enjoy teamwork and a multi-tasking environment.
- Should work very well under set timelines without compromising work results.
- Must be able to work flexible hours throughout the entire week (evening, weekends and holidays are a must).
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Pay: $41,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
