**Duties**:
The majority of our team is based out of Lower Fort Garry National Historic Site, the old stone fort beside the Red River just five minutes south of the City of Selkirk. A smaller team is based out of the Forks in downtown Winnipeg.
The student Heritage Presenter at Lower Fort Garry will gear up into historic costume to be posted on the historic grounds and take on the role of someone from the 1850s. This unique style of presentation called heritage interpretation aims to connect our visitors to Manitoba's captivating stories.
At the Forks National Historic Site in Winnipeg, our team proudly wears the Parks Canada uniform and offers public programs to share hidden history reaching over 6000 years into the past.
During May and June, our team is largely focused on delivering school tours and workshops at Lower Fort Garry and the Forks. In July and August, both sites cater to a broad demographic of visitors.
Our staff are truly outstanding and remarkable because they are willing to learn and try new things. At our heritage places, student Heritage Presenters are passionate about their work and share their passion with colleagues, Manitobans and visitors from around the world.
We look forward to meeting the next group of bright students that will become our fantastic team
