**Key Responsibilities**:
Assist the Workplace Designer to evaluates client needs and determines scope of services required by client.

Assist the Workplace Designer to produce accurate drawings and specifications for systems furniture and cost estimates using Project Spec, Team Design or CET Designer specification programs for proposal generation.

Prepare accurate proposals with quality furniture solutions, product renderings and services

Internal processing of client approvals and signed off drawings and finish schedules for all products

Assist with preparation of all necessary drawings and documents required for installation, i.e., furniture plan, electrical plan, elevations, 3D drawings, notes and legends.

Provides technical design expertise in order to develop and deliver an effective, on time proposal

Participates deficiency list evaluations and assists with processing deficiencies

Produces accurate, on time specifications and cost estimates using specification programs

Prepares space plans, furniture plans, elevations, 3D drawings, finishes etc.
Maintains all project files/job folder according to design department standards.

Assist with project administration including but not limited to approvals, acknowledgements, vendor pricing registration and general project documents

Organizes and files drawings and specifications to ensure they are current

Maintains accurate timesheet and activity log records and attends all department and company internal meetings.

Effectively interfaces and interacts with all departments to develop and maintain the highest quality of service to customers

Stays current on furniture, design and furniture trends by attending vendor presentations and shows and by reading industry newsletters and periodicals.

**Performance Measurements**:
Minimum of 3 years of relevant North American workplace design experience in commercial design or furniture dealership

Superb design and detailing skills, ability to prepare conceptual sketches by hand and on computer

Excellent space planning and layout development skills

Experience working on multiple projects, and successfully managing priorities, conflicting deadlines and various demands

Work independently and as part of a team

Working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal in the English language, to allow for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders

Efficient and organized documentation of process and coordination

A positive attitude, confident, focused and responsible

Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently, prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines and keep Salesforce opportunities up-to-date

**Software Knowledge**:
Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD (version 2015 or higher)

Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Adobe Photoshop

Salesforce

2020 CAP/Project Spec

CET Designer a definite asset

**Educational/Licensing/Certification Requirements**:
Interior design graduate from an accredited interior design program, degree or diploma

A valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle
