**Who You Are**

**JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES**

**ROLE OF A TEAM MEMBER**:

- Be enthusiastic, energetic and demonstrate a genuine positive demeanor throughout the shift
- Provide suggestions/recommendations for meal options based on customer wants or needs
- Prepare all menu items
- Ensure service standards are met while moving the guest through the service experience in an efficient manner
- Get to know regular guests’ preferences as well as identify opportunities to introduce guests to new offerings or options
- Sustain a sincere attitude to be of service to others with a desire to succeed
- Ensure every guest leaves wanting to return by providing a hospitable guest experience

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Greet customers, take orders and process payments
- Prepare food and drink orders
- Assemble orders, including dine-in, takeout and delivery
- Prepare ingredients and base recipes for service periods
- Follow food safety standards for food handling and storage
- Receive and store deliveries
- Adhere to and practice all health and safety standards, including COVID 19 protocols
- Practice good workplace sanitation and cleanliness standards for the safety of our fellow staff and guests

APPEARANCE & CONDUCT:

- Always maintain good personal hygiene practices
- Adhere to uniform and grooming policy
- Project positive body language; consistently upbeat, courteous and outgoing
- Maintain an engaged, cooperative, friendly and positive rapport with other staff by demonstrating teamwork
- Uphold a sense of urgency and ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Remain open-minded and adapt to changing circumstances
- Respond to guest requests in a positive, timely and thorough manner
- Identify and resolve errors and question anything that impacts the quality of the guest experience

JOB DUTIES:

- Knowledge of all products, including menus and promotions; flavour profiles, descriptors, and complimentary flavours
- Set up cold, hot, and dry sections per proper par levels and standards
- Prepare menu options per standard using recipe books, tools and utensils provided
- Follow all company recipes for food preparation
- Complete opening, mid, and closing duties and set up successfully for service
- Operate the POS throughout service periods efficiently and accurately
- Maintain the dining room per company standards before, during, and after meal periods
- Handle guest concerns with and without the support of a manager
- Manage the clearing, cleaning, and restocking of all prep, food, beverage, and side stations throughout the shift period
- Assist with organizing and completing catering orders as needed
- Properly adhere to all cash handling policies and procedures
- Practice suggestive selling and upselling with confidence at every opportunity
- Educate guests on promotional items and current events; share the excitement
- Ensure proper timing of food ordering and delivery

COMPLIANCE:

- Adhere to all brand and government (municipal and provincial) policies regarding workplace safety
- Adhere to all legislative compliance requirements, such as safe food handling, health & safety, WHMIS etc.
- Participate in all mandatory staff meetings, shift huddles and in-store incentive contests

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Past restaurant experience an asset
- Strong foundation and understanding of food principles
- Ability to prioritize and stay organized in a high-paced environment
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-35 per week

**Salary**: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
