Family Support Worker

**Position Overview**
The Family Support is a front-line position that works with families. This position includes prenatal/ post natal supports, home visitation, monitoring child development, providing activities that aid in healthy child development and parent education. They also assess and provide guidance of the resources and supports available to the client.

- Ability to build a strong rapport with clients
- High level of communication and observation skills
- Has the ability to be caring and compassionate with clients
**Qualifications**
- Completion or working towards education in Social, Human Services or related field is considered an asset
- Experience working with infants, children and families
- Knowledge and respect for Indigenous Cultures
- Knowledge of community resources
- Knowledge of developments regarding trauma informed care and mental health
- Proficient with using Microsoft Office (word, excel) and social media
- Provide a satisfactory Criminal Record and Child and Family Services Intervention Record Check
- Must have a valid drivers license, reliable vehicle and ability to travel
This full-time position is grant funded and starts immediately until March 31, 2025.
Relocation assistance is not provided for these positions.
