We are looking for an experienced and ambitious finance professional to join our growing Finance team to support our Canadian schools. This is a newly defined role, created to improve the efficiency of financial reporting within our three Canadian schools. The Finance Officer for Canada will report directly to the Group Financial Controller and will have the opportunity to partner with the Managing Director of Canada in supporting the full cycle accounting process for Bayswater Canada’s regional operations.

**Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)**:
**_ Accounts receivable_**
- Raise monthly invoices within CLASS (our Student Database) and complete the necessary postings within QuickBooks (our accounting software)
- Allocate student payments for the three Canadian schools in both CLASS and QuickBooks
- Support the central Accounts Receivable team with cash collection

**_Accounts payable_**
- Manage the Accounts Payable cycle, working alongside each school’s Centre Director to record supplier invoices, create proposed payment runs for approval and manage the payment process
- Track and process agent commission refunds and overpayments and allocate in CLASS

**_ Cash management_**
- Reconcile all bank accounts monthly, ensuring cash transactions are recorded in the correct school with supporting documentation
- Track and reconcile Flywire, and Moneris payments
- Update the central cash forecast for the three Canadian schools

**_ Reporting_**
- Prepare the monthly management accounts pack per school, consistent with the Global Bayswater reporting framework
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for all relevant accounts on a monthly basis with responsibility for investigating and resolving all reconciling items
- Liaise with external auditors and accountants to fulfil annual filing requirements
- Work alongside the Central Finance team to identify and implement improved reporting
- Ad hoc financial analysis as required

**_ Payroll_**
- Input payroll data on ADP (our payroll system) and reconcile against BambooHR (our People database)

**_Tax_**
- Process Canadian provincial, federal and local tax as directed
- Someone with a minimum of 5 years’ experience of working in full cycle accounting and finance

- Canadian degree with diploma in accounting, CGA or equivalent
